Lunch

A nutritious, healthy meal providing one-third of the dietary reference intake is served at the Senior Center each day.

All lunch guests should arrive by 11:15 a.m.

We are open Monday through Friday, with occasional scheduled closings for holidays, field trips, etc.
 

Who may come for lunch?

Older adults who:

  • Are 60 years or older.
  • Are able to take care of their own personal needs.
  • Make a lunch reservation two days in advance.
  • Complete the paperwork needed to become a member after two visits.
     

What does the lunch program provide?

  • A variety of hot and cold meals consisting of meat or other protein food, vegetables, fruit, bread, and milk. (**The menu provides a regular diet only. Special diets such as diabetic, renal, and vegetarian are not available.)
  • Social contact and interaction with staff and other members.
     

How much does lunch cost?

There is no charge for lunch to qualified people; however, voluntary contributions are accepted and encouraged according to one’s financial ability. Contributions support the operation of the lunch program. All contributions are voluntary, private, and confidential.

Guests who are under 60 years old (or are over 60 but have not completed membership paperwork after 2 visits) must pay $5 for lunch each day.
 

How do I sign up for lunch?

You can make reservations for lunch by calling us at 540.261.7474 two days before you plan on joining us for lunch. Check the current month’s menus, posted on this site, to see what our offerings will be each day.
